An Open Letter

Dear Genesis,

I pray you are well and blessed today.

In a few short weeks on December 2, Genesis has its 4th birthday. Over those 4 years this wonderful community has provided inspiration, service, love and healing to many, many people. From the beginning we have been committed only to revealing love and we continue to hold true to that sacred purpose. It is the reason for our existence.

Over these first 4 years we have also experienced steady growth and expansion. Every year we experience a greater participation in all of our ministries. Love does indeed have a way of drawing unto itself. It is after all the bottom line. We shall continue to work on perfecting our loving and act on behalf of this commitment.

As we look ahead to our 5th year in existence in 2012 we shall simply “Let Genesis Be Genesis”. The vision for this community has been cast long ago and we continue to work diligently on its behalf. It is an adventure not only for a season, but for a lifetime. We will allow Genesis to gracefully, powerfully and dynamically draw unto itself. Essentially, we seek first the kingdom of God and watch as all things are added. For now we lay down the growth initiatives and witness the grandeur. We lay down goals and witness the greatness. We step back from the effort, and embrace the ease. We assume a vibration of vitality and vibrancy.

Please understand this in no way implies inaction. We will still act. And act boldly. We simply do it all with a slight shift of vibration. As has been said…instead of making something happen, we will make something welcome.

I am enthusiastic about our journey together. Let us have some fun, embrace the joy and walk together AS God’s beloved community.

Love.

Rev. Charles W. Hall
